Portland in the summer

Here's me (center) with Chuck Logan (left) and Phil Margolin at KATU-TV in Portland for a live appearance on AM NORTHWEST, their morning show. Phil was a gracious host for the rest of the day, giving me a guided tour of the lush, green, gorgeous Portland area. All I can say is wow. The weather was perfect, and Mt. Hood was clearly visible in the distance. That night the three of us signed together at Powell's, a legendary bookstore in the area. A real kick was seeing a gentleman who had been the best man at my father's wedding at Pearl Harbor in 1945. Another friend drove from Seattle. All in all a great event with a nice crowd. Then it took 12 hours to get home. Thank you, thunderstorms over Dallas. I'm six foot six, and lucked into the AIRPLANE SEAT THAT DOESN'T RECLINE. But worth it to see the beautiful Portland area in peak summer weather.

I am so glad that my hubby was willing to drive me from Dallas, OR, to Powell's--in rush hour traffic yet.

I did sent bravo comments about BOA to Amazon.com--and I hope other readers do the same. You deserve the praise.

Cordially,
